From the history of Energa Gda\u0144sk Marathon<\/strong><\/p>\n

The first Energa Gda\u0144sk Marathon took place on May 17, 2015, under the name PZU Energa Gda\u0144sk Marathon. 1,825 runners, including 277 women, reached the finish line. Over 11,000 runners have completed the six editions to date, including nearly 2,000 women. <\/strong><\/p>\n

In the first edition of the Energa Gda\u0144sk Marathon, the fastest were Piotr Szpigiel (2:37:27) and Ewa Hury\u0144 (3:03:41). The third edition of the Energa Gda\u0144sk Marathon was the most popular, with 2,375 runners crossing the finish line.<\/p>\n

In the six editions so far, Rafa\u0142 Czarnecki has triumphed three times (2017, 2018, 2019) and this runner also holds the Energa Gda\u0144sk Marathon course record, which is 2:23:14.<\/p>\n

Among the women, the fastest in 2019 was Rafa\u0142 Czarnecki's wife, Lidia Czarnecka, who covered 42,195 km in 2:49:05. Among the women, it's also worth mentioning the first winner of the Energa Gda\u0144sk Marathon, Ewa Hury\u0144, who won in Gda\u0144sk twice, in 2015 and 2016.<\/p>\n
