MThe marathon is a true celebration of runners. Completing the royal distance of 42,195 meters is a dream for many amateur runners. After a two-year hiatus, the race at this distance will be held again in Gdańsk in 2025. The city of Gdańsk holds a unique history. It was here that World War II began on September 1, 1939, and that the first independent, self-governing trade unions in Poland were established. Finally, it was in Gdańsk that the social changes that gave impetus to other European societies were initiated, including the fall of the Berlin Wall and the restoration of independence to the Baltic republics – Lithuania, Latvia, and Estonia. Therefore, the seventh edition of the Gdańsk marathon was held under the slogan „Run in the city of freedom!”. The next opportunity to participate in the race will be in April 2027.

IThe accompanying event of the Energa Gdańsk Marathon 2027 will be a 5-kilometer run. The start and finish lines will be located at the Polsat Plus Arena Gdańsk. Participants in the 5-kilometer run will start on Saturday and finish at the same finish line as the Energa Gdańsk Marathon 2027 participants.
