63rd Westerplatte Run – new route with finish at Polsat Plus Arena Gdańsk

The 63rd Westerplatte Run – the longest continuously held 10-kilometer street race in Poland – will take place on September 7, 2025. This year's event will bring significant changes, including a new route, with the finale taking place at one of the most beautiful football stadiums in Europe – Polsat Plus Arena Gdańsk.

The Westerplatte Run is a unique event, combining history with a passion for sport. For over six decades, it has attracted runners from across Poland, offering them not only a sporting challenge but also an opportunity to commemorate the heroes of September 1939. This year, the Gdańsk Sports Centre has prepared a route that, for the first time in history, will run through the Tunnel under the Martwa Wisła – a unique venue accessible to runners only during a handful of sporting events.

New route

Traditionally, the race will begin at Westerplatte – a symbolic place that encourages reflection on Poland's independence and the history of our country and Europe. After the start, participants will not run towards the Old Town, as in previous editions, but will instead turn towards the tunnel and then head towards the Polsat Plus Arena Gdańsk. The finish line, located at the stadium, guarantees extraordinary excitement, comparable to that of Euro 2012.
