The youngest are ready to start – registration is now open for the Energa Gdańsk Junior Marathon! The races for the youngest runners are scheduled for Saturday (April 5, 2025) from 4:30 PM to 5:30 PM. The young athletes will finish at the finish line located at the Polsat Plus Arena in Gdańsk.

The race distances have been adapted to the children's ages. The youngest, ages 1 to 6, will run 200 meters, while those aged 7 to 11 will compete over 500 meters, and the oldest, ages 12 to 15, will tackle the 1,000-meter course. 

How do I register my child for the race?

Applications are accepted on the platform www.timerecords.pl Children are registered for the race by their parents, legal guardians, or coaches. The first step is to create an account in the system for the parent, coach, or legal guardian, and then register the child for the race. Each parent, legal guardian, or coach can register any number of children for the race. 

Is the child's age a factor in registering for the race?

According to the Energa Gdańsk Marathon Junior regulations, age group placement is determined not by date of birth, but by age group. Below is a detailed list of age groups and the distance for each age group: 

children aged 1-6 – 200 m run – child's year of birth: 2024, 2023, 2022, 2021, 2020, 2019

children aged 7-11 – 500 m run – child’s year of birth: 2018, 2017, 2016, 2015, 2014

children aged 12-15 – 1000 m run – child’s year of birth: 2013, 2012, 2011, 2010

What will be the classifications in children's races? 

Children will be classified by gender (girls / boys) in age categories: 1-3 years, 4 – 6 years, 7 – 8 years, 9 – 11 years, 12 – 13 years, 14 – 15 years. 

What time do the individual races start?

All children's races will take place from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. A detailed schedule for each distance will be available on the website by March 15, 2025. 

Are group registrations and payment by bank transfer possible for children's races?

Yes, for group registrations, payment can be made with a single bank transfer. To do this, please contact us in advance at info@gdanskmaraton.com.
