The Crown of Polish Marathons project, launched this year, is growing in popularity. The list already has over 800 names, and registration is still open. The Gdańsk Marathon is participating in the project and invites everyone to participate.
Here's a brief reminder of the rules for competing in the Crown of Polish Marathons. The Crown comprises five running events, the main distance being a 42.195 km race. The Crown includes the following marathons:
- DOZ Marathon Lodz (12/04/2026),
- ENERGA Gdańsk Marathon (25/04/2026),
- Silesia Marathon (04/10/2026),
- Dębno Marathon (18/10/2026),
- Toruń Marathon (18/10/2026).
This year's race dates don't necessarily mean you have to finish the marathons this year. The Crown of Polish Marathons is spread over two years, so the first, current edition will take place in 2026 and 2027. The prerequisite for winning the Crown of Polish Marathons is completing three of the five marathons mentioned above within two years. Importantly, two starts in the same city are not counted towards the Crown.
The full regulations can be found here HERE.
The final registration date is November 15, 2027. This means you can register if you have already completed 3 of the 5 marathons listed in 2026 and 2027.
We already know what the medal will look like, so we're sharing its visualization with you. We present a visualization of the medal. It consists of five small discs with a city motif connected by a crown, a red-and-white ribbon, and the logo of the Polish Running Association.
